Helen Hancock had got a restraining order taken out against her ex Rhys, according to a pal. The 40-year-old yesterday admitted to the murder of Helen and her boyfriend Martin Griffiths just hours into 2020 in Duffield, Derbyshire. Hancock plotted the killings over Christmas after discovering his ex was seeing marketing firm boss Martin Griffiths, who she met at a running club. A second 999 call was received at 4.26am, this time from Hancock, to say he had killed his wife and her lover. “The day after, Martin messaged me to say thanks for a great night and he signed the message off as 'Martin + Helen'.
