LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic was fined $50,000 on Tuesday for directing an "inappropriate and unprofessional gesture toward a game official" during the Lakers' win over the New York Knicks on Sunday, the NBA announced. The moment came during the third quarter when Doncic didn't get the charge call after stepping in front of Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara in transition. Doncic was not penalized during the game, which the Lakers won 110-97, but he has had his battles with referees this season.
