The probe committee must submit its report to the registrar general of the Supreme Court within 15 days. On Monday, a Sylhet court placed three of the suspects on remand: named accused Mahbubur Rahman Rony, suspect Rajon, and Rajon's associate Ainuddin. Six suspects have now been put on remand in the gang rape case, including four named accused. The victim was reportedly raped by Chhatra League men on the premises of Sylhet's MC College hostel when she was visiting with her husband on Friday night.
