Media Council of Kenya on Friday, December 24, condemned unwarranted attack against a Daily Nation Journalist and other two media personalities. MCK's Chief Executive Officer and Secretary David Omwoyo Omwoyo called for a swift investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators involved. “In the absence of decisive action, the media council of Kenya will seek private prosecution of those found culpable,” the council announced. On November 24, two Nation Media Group (NMG) journalists were assaulted by security attached to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's wife, Dorcas Gachagua.
