As part of its plans to fund 10 academic scholarships, the Monrovia Football Academy (MFA) says it will host a scholarship fundraiser through a benefit brunch on April 8 at Café Royale in the Royal Grand Hotel. According to the Academy’s Executive Director, Will Smith, 50% of all proceeds from Café Royale’s brunch will be donated to Monrovia Football Academy. Café Royale’s Sunday brunch costs US $18, but people can also order their standard menu to support MFA,” he said. This will be the first scholarship fundraiser to be hosted by the Academy in Liberia. According to MFA, 320 boys and girls will take entrance exams and participate in a day-long football tournament in each county.
