MAHARLIKA Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) commissioner Kenneth Duremdes considered the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as the role model when it staged a successful bubble tournament last year. "Bubble tournaments are expensive and the PBA knows that," Duremdes told The Manila Times. Remember, when the PBA did the bubble, we also observed them, and we were able to hold our own bubble (in Subic)." The PBA just recently started its circuit bubble training with nine teams currently doing their scrimmages in Batangas. NLEX previously held its circuit bubble training at the Alpha Aviation in Clark City then put up a training camp the past week at the St. Paul American School.
