STARKVILLE — For the second straight year Mississippi State football has produced a first round NFL Draft pick. Forbes, from Grenada, Mississippi, played three seasons for the Bulldogs, making a name for himself as a turnover machine in the secondary. He also added 142 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 34 pass deflections, one sack and forced one fumble. “Mississippi State developed me as a player, but most importantly they developed me as a person,” Forbes told reporters at Mississippi State’s Pro Day in March. Justin Frommer is the Mississippi State sports reporter for The Dispatch.
