A case has been filed against the authorities of Emad Paribahan, over the crash that killed 19, and injured over 30 people in Madaripur. The case was filed by Shibchar Highway Police Sergent Jayanta Sarkar with Shibchar police station on Sunday night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibchar police station Anwar Hossain said the case was filed against unnamed individuals, including the Emad Paribahan authority. The accident occurred due to the mechanical fault and reckless speed of the bus, said the OC. The bus of Emad Paribahan leaving from Khulna at around 7:30am on Sunday lost control and fell down the expressway in Qutubpur area of Shibchar.
