“We’re the oldest shop in Diss which is still in the family,” said Mick Madgett, 69, who runs Madgetts Cycles, in Shelfanger Road. Mr Madgett also offers a custom wheel building service and was involved in building wheels that were used by Team GB cyclist Chris Boardman during his individual pursuit gold medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. “It was quite a privilege to be able to be involved in something like that,” added Mr Madgett, who lives in Diss.
