The earthquake was reported at 9:29 a.m. and prompted an early warning, which was sent widely to cellphones across Northern California. The strongest shaking, felt near the epicenter, was light, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, just enough to rattle dishes. In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
