Magnitude 6.1 quake hits waters off Davao Oriental


MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck the waters off Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The quake struck at 119 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 5:45 p.m.ADVERTISEMENTPhivolcs said that the quake was of tectonic origin with a depth of focus of 80 kilometers.
