Highlights 1 37-year-old female sub-inspector Ashwini Bidre went missing in April 2016. Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai police on Thursday arrested a police inspector - Abhay Kurundkar - attached with the Thane Rural police, for allegedly kidnapping a female colleague. Police and family of the female officer suspect that Kurundkar abducted and murdered her. Bidre went on to cleared her Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination in 2007 and became a police-sub-inspector. "We have arrested Kurundkar for kidnapping as of now and are inquiring him about Bidre.
