Maidenhead United Women were well beaten by an excellent Moneyfields side at York Road in their final game of the calendar year last Sunday, but manager Ed Jackson-Norris was keen to accentuate the positives after defeat to the promotion-chasing visitors, writes Neil Maskell. FA Women’s National League Division 1 South West top-scorers Moneyfields had already racked up an incredible 50 goals prior to their arrival in Berkshire. Sitarz headed the ball against an upright in first-half injury time as United again failed to deal with a corner. Simmonds had struck the crossbar a matter of moments before scoring the second after United failed to clear their lines. Wilmott-Joyce saved well from Hay before the third goal came from a corner kick, with a United player possibly getting the final touch.
