The result lifts the Magpies to 12th in the table, and seven points clear of the bottom four in the National League. The Magpies flew out of the traps against a Stones side who beat them 2-0 at York Road on Boxing Day. United had to see out seven minutes of stoppage-time, but they did so relatively comfortably to claim a hugely significant win in their survival battle. It's a win that also gives them a massive boost heading into Saturday's away game at Boreham Wood, now beneath the Magpies in 16th.
