A hotel by the Maidenhead riverside has reopened following major interior refurbishment. The Thames Hotel in Ray Mead Road dates back to 1886 and was independently owned and operated by the Owen family until its sale for almost £2.5million in 2024. The hotel has since been taken over by national hotel company Uno Hotels and rebranded as the Uno Thames Hotel. Alex Badea, cluster general manager for Uno Hotels, said: “Uno Hotels took over in April 2024 [and] we started this refurbishment. The hotel opened on Tuesday, March 3 and held an open day, which was attended by around 60 to 70 people.
