Audiences braved the bad weekend weather to support the town’s music scene at an annual festival on Saturday (August 5). Off the Tap hosted its fifth annual Acoustic Festival to a packed venue with around 13 acts performing covers and originals throughout the afternoon and until late. Tara Deane, the festival organiser, said: “It was a really well attended day. It’s always tricky to get the word around about a festival, so when people turn up you know that you’ve done a good job. I make sure performers play their original songs because this venue is keen on supporting people’s original music as well as covers,” Tara said.
