The Kensington Community Policing Forum (CPF) has lauded police for their efforts to rid the area of criminals, and calls on residents to work together to eradicate gangsterism plaguing the community. Cheslyn Steenberg, CPF chair, says crime can only be outrooted when residents take ownership of their community. “The CPF’s hand can only be made stronger if you – the community help the CPF to. We can do this in partnership with law enforcement agencies to ensure a safer community,” Steenberg noted. She says gangsterism and drugs are a major challenge in the community.
