In a significant restructuring of the military’s top leadership, the Bangladesh Army sees several high-profile reshuffles on Sunday afternoon. Lieutenant General Muhammad Mainur Rahman has been appointed chief of general staff (CGS) of the Bangladesh Army. Prior to this elevation, he served as the general officer commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC). Currently serving as a brigadier general at Army Headquarters, he is set to assume the position upon his promotion to major general. Meanwhile, the outgoing PSO, Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hasan, has been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an ambassador.
