The Majority recalled that Ghana’s financial system collapsed, with the cedi depreciating at unprecedented levels and inflation soaring to historic highs. Minority calls out NDC over delay in passage of anti-LGBTQ+ lawThese conditions, it said, significantly eroded household incomes and plunged many families into economic distress. “The Ghanaian people lived through one of the most difficult economic periods in our history, and no amount of political spin can erase that reality,” the statement noted. The Majority said it will continue to remind the public of these challenges, stressing that Parliament must remain grounded in facts rather than selective memory when national issues are debated.
