Proteas opener Aiden Markram has appealed to the game's decision-makers to put the cricket first when it comes to making decisions. This comes after Cricket South Africa's members' council and interim board met with Sports, Arts and Culture minister Nathi Mthethwa to find middle ground with regards to the composition of the future, majority independent board. The members' council has been given until Tuesday to reconsider their stance, with Mthethwa not wanting to be dared into action. This comes as Cricket South Africa’s members’ council has been given until Tuesday to reconsider its position with regards to amendments to CSA's Memorandum of Incorporation that will allow for a majority independent board. The interim board and the members’ council have been at loggerheads with regards to the composition of CSA’s future board.
