Hong Kong (CNN) Tens of millions of people in Southeast Asia have had their movements, travel and daily life restricted as countries prepare for a surge in novel coronavirus cases . On Sunday, the country reported 190 new cases. The Philippines has reported 140 cases of coronavirus and 12 deaths, according to the World Health Organization. Reported coronavirus cases in the country have jumped in recent days after months of incremental increases. Thailand's Ministry of Public Health reported 33 new cases on Monday -- the biggest single-day increase -- bringing the total to 147.
