KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has reiterated its call for the United Nations (UN) Security Council to use various tools at its disposal, to create necessary conditions for peace and to influence the parties’ behaviours to salvage the two-state solution of the Israel-Palestine conflict. He said doing nothing clearly is not an option for the UN Security Council. We must not allow our plea to fall on deaf ears and must have the courage to nurse our bleeding conscience. Ramlan said this at the Security Council’s meeting on “Situation in the Middle East including the Palestinian question“, in New York, United States on Thursday. “We stand ready to engage contructively with other council members in this regard,” he concluded.
