Malik earlier announced that it will be his last World Cup in the 50-over format. Malik made his ODI debut in October, 1999 and played 287 ODIs, scoring 7,534 runs. Malik has already retired from Tests and is now solely focusing on his T20I career ahead of the next World T20I next year.
