West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday demanded a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash. Ajit Pawar plane crash LIVEMr. Pawar and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed near Baramati in Pune district on Wednesday morning. “This accident happened just days before Ajit Pawar was about to return to his old faction. First, so many lives were lost in Ahmedabad, and now Ajit Pawar has lost his life in this accident... Why did this accident happen before Ajit Pawar could return to his old faction,” the Chief Minister asked. Ms. Banerjee said that Chief Ministers travel in chartered flights due to time constraints and raised questions about their security.
