WOODSTOCK, N.B.—An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 17-year-old girl in rural New Brunswick. Police say they responded to a 911 call about “an unresponsive person” at a house in Jacksonville, N.B., at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police say Amon Kelleter was charged in nearby Woodstock provincial court on Wednesday, and will be kept in custody until his next court appearance on Oct. 15.
