A man has been jailed after he was found in possession of a submachine gun, drugs and more than £200,000 in cash. The Met said Akhtar pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, ammunition and criminal property (£221,320.04 in cash), and possession to supply class A and B drugs. 'Reducing violence remains our top priority and officers are out across London daily, removing dangerous weapons and targeting the drivers of violent crime.'
