Jonny Halstead, 35, was "bitten multiple times" by the dog, said to have since been shot by police. Officers were called to an address in Oldham, Greater Manchester, after reports a man had collapsed. Manchester Evening News says Mr Halstead, 35, fell ill at home and was then bitten. A post-mortem exam, to determine exactly how Mr Halstead died, is yet to take place.
