Nathan Ake returned to training with the Dutch national team to ease Manchester City concerns over an injury. His coach Ronald Koeman confirmed after the match that they did not want to take any risks with the defender. The 28-year-old is expected to be available to Koeman for their game against Republic of Ireland on Sunday evening. City boss Guardiola has already hit out at the increased risk of injuries that comes from the busy schedule and poor preparations over the summer where commercial ambitions are prioritised over football. The Blues will soon start playing two games a week with the Carabao Cup and Champions League kicking into action.
