Manchester City slumped to a third straight draw as they surrendered further momentum in the Premier League title race. City made a nervy start and survived a couple of scares before beginning to assert control on the contest. But they struggled to create a clear chance and Jeremy Doku was felled and, after a VAR review, a penalty was awarded and duly dispatched by Haaland. Haaland then missed a huge chance after Brighton again played themselves into trouble but the Norwegian couldn't take advantage when unmarked eight yards out. Rayan Cherki, off the bench, side footed another clear chance over as City failed to find a winner.
