Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is "beyond excited" to have signed a three-year deal to become Manchester United manager on a permanent basis. The move has seemed inevitable for many weeks given the transformation the 46-year-old fan favourite has overseen since being named caretaker boss in December. Solskjaer has brought smiles and a swagger back to a United side that had been toiling under divisive former manager Jose Mourinho. Solskjaer's work over the last 99 days has seen the interim role turn into a permanent job. He faces the media for the first time since the announcement on Thursday.
