United are still offering their home-produced talent more of a chance than any other top flight sideStats out this week from the Swiss-based CIES Football Observatory, show that the club are still offering their home-produced talent more of a chance than any other top flight side. Club trained players – defined by UEFA as those who have been at a club for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21 – have been on the pitch for 19.37 per cent of the total minutes played by Jose Mourinho’s side so far this season. That’s a figure that puts them ahead of nearest challengers Arsenal (18.47 per cent ), Spurs (16.81 per cent ) and way ahead of their Manchester rivals. Before this weekend, Manchester City’s club-trained players had been involved in just 0.46% of the total minutes played by Pep Guardiola’s men.
