Angry residents in Kitui county attacked a man who had killed his girlfriend over a sh11,500.The man did not survive the anger displayed by the mob. “I was informed that Mwaniki was bitter with Nzambi after she denied him access to the Sh11,500 monthly support from Red Cross Society and he threatened to eliminate her," the chief said. It is reported that Mwaniki went to her girlfriends home at 2am on Wednesday and hacked the girlfriend several times on the head and the neck. Armed with a sharp machete, Mwaniki visited Nzambi's home at around 2 am on Wednesday morning and hacked her to death, the chief said.
