Alphonse Daigle pleaded guilty Wednesday in Moncton's Court of King's Bench to killing André Després on April 13, 2024, in Pointe-Sapin. New Brunswick RCMP previously said Richibucto RCMP officers responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Route 117 around 2:05 p.m. on April 13, 2024. First-degree murder carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
