Police have arrested a man on the run for two weeks after an alleged family violence incident on Auckland's North Shore where a woman was seriously assaulted. Mr Scott alleged Brown's friends had helped him evade police. Let me be clear, if we find evidence that anyone has helped Karl Brown to avoid being arrested, we will look to charge those people." Brown went on the run and until this afternoon, had been actively avoiding arrest, said Detective Inspector Bruce Scott. The 29-year-old was found by police hiding under a bed at an address in Beachhaven, AucklandShortly before Brown was located by police, Mr Scott issued a public appeal for information.
