A man has been arrested following a string of robberies in Toronto and Markham, including an incident where he allegedly stole a computer system worth thousands of dollars. Toronto police say that between Nov. 21, 2018 and March 20, 2019, a man disguised with a mask entered seven Toronto retail establishments while armed with a black handgun. He would point the firearm a store employees and demanded cash and lottery tickets, a news release said. The man was arrested on Friday after a violent struggle with police officers, Toronto police said in a Monday news release.
