A man has been arrested in Rongo for allegedly impersonating the ICT and Digital Economy CS Eliud Owalo. The man had been allegedly running a Facebook account, purporting to be Owalo. The last post written on the account bearing the name Hon Eliud Owalo was on December 24 at 1730 hrs. In December 2022, a Sugoi artist was arrested for impersonating Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The DCI had cautioned the public to be wary of fraudsters operating pseudo social media accounts impersonating CSs,PSs and other senior government officials.
