A man has been arrested after attempting to carry out a burglary at a government department building in the early hours of this morning. A security alarm alerted officers to the scene and they carried out a search of the building with security staff. As they searched the Leeson Lane premises they discovered a suspect attempting to flee and he was arrested after a short chase. Nothing was reported stolen during the burglary and it was not clear if the suspect entered any offices after breaking into the Government department.
