The husband, known as Phool Khan, and his wife Pana fre­quently got into arguments, said Pana’s brother. A few days ago, their fight took a violent turn when Phool attacked Pana and bit off part of her nose and cheek. Pana was rushed to a local community health centre in Hamirpur city where she received 10 stit­ches to her face.
