A 42-year-old man deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been arrested in the Weligama area yesterday in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today. He stated that the suspect was arrested during an operation carried out by the Terrorism Investigation Division. 2.7 million was also found in the suspect’s possession at the time of his arrest. He is a 42-year-old resident of Kirigandeniya, Mawanella, said the Police Media Spokesman. On Saturday, the TID arrested a 44-year-old man deported from the UAE over extremist activities.
