He said: "He was admitted to the hospital on Friday afternoon with dengue, and died on Saturday morning." Including Khalek, a total of 12 dengue patients have died at this hospital while receiving treatment since July 16, the hospital director added. A total of 91,353 dengue patients have been hospitalized from January 1 to Oct 11 this year, however, 89,893 of them were released after treatment. During the period, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) received information of 242 deaths across Bangladesh from dengue.
