A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to life for raping his two minor nieces for around two years in Vasai. He also impregnated one of the rape survivors and made her undergo an abortion. The man was sentenced to life imprisonment by NG Pradhan, special judge, Vasai court, on Friday. In the meantime, the man also raped two of his nieces, aged 17 and 14 respectively, when the woman was away working as a housemaid, said Khandangale. “We examined five witnesses in the case and the Vasai court relied on the strong evidence and sentenced him to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs17,000.
