JOHOR BARU: A man, his 40-year-old girlfriend and her two sons were charged at the magistrate’s and Sessions courts today with charges related to the alleged abuse of the man’s 13-year-old son last month. The woman, who is six months into her pregnancy, was charged before magistrate Siti Hajar Ali with voluntarily causing hurting to the boy using a dangerous weapon. Her sons, meanwhile, were charged before magistrate Salina Omar with voluntarily causing hurt to the boy. Her two sons were alleged to have punched the boy in the face and body. Mention has been set for Oct 8 for the woman’s case and Sept 3 for her sons’ case.
