The convict, Dominic Ofori, popularly known as Fanta, was arrested on February 16, 2026, after evading capture for nearly four years. According to a press release dated March 2, 2026, he pleaded guilty to robbery and was handed the 25-year sentence. Police said intelligence gathered on March 20, 2022, indicated that a group of armed men from Manso Abodom were plotting to attack a mining site at Manso Akwasiso to steal gold concentrate. 'Duabo King' arrested for alleged false publicationOfficers from the Manso Adubia District Police mounted an operation and laid an ambush at the site.
