A Dublin man has been jailed for shouting drunken abuse at gardaí when they found him arguing with two women in the middle of the road. Patrick Lawrence (28) was given a one-month sentence when he appeared before Blanchardstown District Court. Lawrence, of Liffey Hall, Liffey Valley, Lucan, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour. Garda Michael Dunne said he found Lawrence arguing outside the Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley, in the early hours of last May 9. Lawrence gave the gardaí no more trouble after his arrest and apologised.
