RCMP are investigating a suspected hit-and-run in southwestern New Brunswick after a man was struck and killed while walking along Route 172 early Friday morning. RCMP said they believe the pedestrian, a 20-year-old man from Utopia, N.B., was hit by an unidentified vehicle while walking toward Back Bay near L'Etete sometime before 4 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The St. George detachment of the West District RCMP is investigating with help from a collision reconstructionist.
