TENOM: A 54-year-old man was shot dead by his elder brother with a homemade bakakuk (shotgun) in Kampung Kangkawang here on Sunday (March 29), before the 57-year-old suspect himself was killed by police. Tenom DCP Superintendent Azmir Abd Razak said the incident occurred at about 8am, with the victim sustaining eight gunshot wounds to his back, reported Sinar Harian. Police from the Tenom District Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of the shooting. Police entered the house and found the suspect lying in the kitchen with the firearm beside him," he said. A bakakuk with one live round, additional live ammunition, spent bullet casings, and a long machete were seized.
