The DN Nagar police have arrested a 34-year-old man who allegedly brought four country-made pistols and bullets from Uttar Pradesh to be sold in Mumbai. The DN Nagar police said they had received a tip-off that a man would be coming to Andheri bus depot to sell firearms. Acting on the information, a team led by assistant police inspector Shrinivas Chevle dressed in civilian clothes laid a trap and nabbed Rokde around 2pm. Upon frisking Rokde, the police seized four country-made pistols and four live rounds of 8mm bore from him. Rokde had planned to sell the pistols to local criminals, they said.
