CCTV footage of the incident - which happened at about 10.15pm on November 5, 2020 - shows the man pointing the imitation gun at people inside Rhondda Takeaway. In the meantime, a delivery driver who was in the shop escaped through the back of the premises and called 999. A police spokesman said: "A customer and a delivery driver dived behind the counter, fearing they were going to be shot. "I would like to praise the actions of the owner who acted calmly and put the safety of others first by trying to keep the man inside the shop.
