Hazaribagh police station Sub-Inspector (SI) and case Investigating Officer (IO) Shahidul Islam said that once the case was filed, Monirul was arrested and sent to jail by a court on Thursday. Both the women have been admitted for medical examination to the One-Stop Crisis Centre in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), he added. Nabbing Monirul, the two women took him to their neighbourhood Vatara police station in Dhaka. However, Monirul lives in Hazaribagh where the rapes took place and so they later filed the case with Hazaribagh police station, the police officer added.
