Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune Ajibur Rahman, a bench assistant of the tribunal, said that on April 26, 2016, finding the girl home alone, Morsalin forcibly entered the kitchen and raped the girl. Morsalin fled the scene when the villagers came to aid the screaming girl. The same day, the girl’s mother filed a case against Morsalin. On July 10 of the same year, the case investigating officer, Muladi police station Sub-inspector (SI) Shahidul Islam, filed a charge sheet against the accused Morsalin. The girl's mother, however, said she was not happy with the verdict.
